Below is a link to a trailer I created with Adobe Spark for the novel I’m currently writing: “Funhouse Mirrors”. It’s a sequel to “Trapped in a Hall of Mirrors” and follows Stephen Connor as he transitions into a clandestine intelligence officer in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. Just click on the picture to see the video, I hope you find it enjoyable!
Just finished some final touches on the first chapter of my new novel: “Funhouse Mirrors” and I am finally moving onto the next. The picture here is a clue to a key plot point that is revealed right in the very first chapter. Anyone care to guess what it is?
For readers of “Trapped in a Hall of Mirrors” – this new book is a sequel to it. It will follow Stephen Connor’s exploits as he makes the transition from the CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence into the Directorate of Operations. He’ll still be in Vienna, and there he will need to get trained and learn how to recruit agents. He’ll be successful in doing so, more so than anyone imagined, but will stumble into a gigantic mess, as he usually does. My hope is that this will be a fun book for fans of the first novel.
I created this book trailer while experimenting with using the new Adobe Spark software, and it turned out really well. The music is from Adobe’s stock music library. Definitely view it if you are at all interested in Adobe Spark. I created this video in less than one hour using this software and I think it makes an excellent book trailer for my novel.
I just got a wonderful “5 out of 5” book review from Emma b Books. It’s a book blogging web site located in Europe. Click here to see it. Many thanks to Emma for her kind words and encouragement!
Em Lehrer of the Keystroke Blog posted this interview of me on her site yesterday. She asked me a set of quite comprehensive questions, and I think you’ll find it informative. Thanks Em!
I’m something of a perfectionist when it comes to doing my best to ensure the authenticity of what I write about in my novels. That includes trying to learn as much as I can about various weapons that my characters may use in my books. I regularly compete in pistol and rifle matches and attend advanced firearms training courses.
The picture above shows me firing a pistol from inside a car during a course I attended a few years ago on shooting in, and around, vehicles. I’ll be taking a firearms class this year that will give me a chance to shoot the entire course using a pistol with an attached suppressor (silencer). It will also be a refresher course for me in clearing a building using only a handgun. I hope to use information I gain from this class in a future book.
